Reviews for White Rainbow
cow 9/25/10 . chapter 1
Hey poo

I like the entire feel of this piece! It feels so heavy yet, it feels so free. I love the use of "tuning an empty guitar', cause

I know how frustrated you get when you tune them ;D. It feels so connected to that feeling where you couldn't get somewhere yet

it's so close, but in this context its an empty one and that expression is so suited!

I also love "you never know where you are until you are too far", the way it rhymes with the first verse gives it such a nice flow and

it's amazing how it gives you that sense of realisation. It gives you a sense were you feel so lost but yet you know where you're supposed to

be heading!

I love how you used balloons and kites, and the bit where you "released" and "cut the strings" has such a vividness behind it and really

materializes the idea of letting go of something/letting something free. And its followed by "lets paint this rainbow in white", which feels

like "lets start over" and white's one of your favourite colours!

I love the reference to strings again, it feels connected with the empty guitar and balloons, but it feels like severed relationships where you

really waant to repair.

Reminded me of James Morrison's song xD

There are layers of extended metaphors in the poem & I like you you found a common point to all of them. I especially like the last line, where the kite is gone & there is only the souvenir to remind you of things past.

I think this is your most beautiful poem.

emotional and honest.

nice simile with the guitar.

my favourite line is "Let's paint this rainbow in white." visual & conceptually intriguing.

Srsly, your prose and use of metaphor was awesome, gripping and mesmerising. I applaud to you, future famous poet/author!
