I love the first four lines! They set the mood well and "I can taste my own demise" is a wonderful line and I loved the eyes/demise rhyme. The whole thing flows really well except for "The final sounds I’ll hear" because it's rhythm is slightly off from the rest of the lines. That's my only complaint though. Fantastic job!
