Does "popped" apply to the man or to the flowers? Clarify by changing tense.

Do you really need "in spite of"? Look for where you can eliminate anything detracting from the focus.

Almost like a nursery rhyme at the end. :) Maybe you could accentuate that more?

"Love is staying mute all night with wide eyes open." I literally felt anxious after reading this line--it's terrifying! I mean that in a good way. :D
