403 Forbidden 8/20/09 . chapter 1The ending was really shocking, I like it. The way you described the person in tandem with the leaf really resonates. I also like the voice of the narrator, how it seems almost apathetic to the whole situation. |
Isca 5/3/09 . chapter 1"And carries a babe away from its mother." Jesus Christ. The tone of this line is emotionally-devastating-it hit me square in the chest, leaving me winded and breathless. Brilliant line. "Russet." Nice diction. "Fall to the ground, and die." Poor little ones. They're so precious. It's sad that things have to die. The last two sections are very powerful-the man watches the leaves die and feels himself die inside too. WOW! This is one of your best poems so far, hun, -Isca |
