I really enjoyed reading this story. However, it really did make me anxious about becoming a lawyer, myself. Hahah I always worried about situations like that! I'm so happy everyone got their happy ending, and I absolutely love when authors include little kids in their stories, as opposed to getting the main character pregnant(clicheee). I loveddd chris, and I love how nora was strong character. Greeat story :)

I started reading this story this afternoon. It is now half past ten in the evening and I think I have only paused for half an hour or so to have dinner.

I loved it. Absolutely and thoroughly loved it.
I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't just a do-it-for-the-bet-but-fall-in-love story. It was great that the setting was years later, that the characters had grown up so much, were strong personas on their own.
I liked that it wasn't just about Nora and Jack, that Travis' point of view was included and that you didn't just skim over the idea of a case. The case was more than just a backdrop for the story, which made the story so much better.
Even though there were several grammatical or spelling mistakes, they didn't bother me (which they normally really do). Your writing style is very good and the story had a good flow to it. It sounds a little head-in-the-clouds-hippy-esque, but it didn't feel like you had to force the story at any point, if that makes any sense.
My heart swelled with the cute romance between Travis and Emily, Alex's pure goodness when it came to being Travis' friend. It was so sad to see how scared and hurt Travis really was, how badly he wanted to do well in school, how badly he wanted friends, sports, the girl and all those things he didn't have before. I cried on the inside a bit for the poor little boy that grew up without parents and was thrown into a world of crime without knowing how to handle the situation. I'm so glad he found his way.
I thought little Chris was wise beyond his years and thought it was immensely cute when he asked Nora whether he could call her mama. To me, that was the most touching moment in the story.
And Jack, oh Jack, could there be a more perfect beau for a romance story? I think any girl in the world would want the person who hurt them so long ago declare they've been in love with you ever since way back when.
I am usually a little cautious when it comes to sequels or spin-offs, but I can't wait to get started on this one.

So basically I'm saying: well done you, don't stop writing!

Aww this was a really cute story! I kinda started to miss Chris near the end and some of the other lovely characters that were mentioned in the beginning of the story but Travis totally stole the show after him getting place into Jack's house.

I really enjoyed it. It was well written and the storyline was great. There were some spelling mistakes but as one of your comments said: you weren't good at editing, so that's okay. In the end, I kinda guessed that it was Jack's ex who planned the attack on Nora. But that's me, I read into things alot.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story.

Wow! Amanda totally reminds me of a creepy psycho stalker! I hope Nora decides to stay in the house with Jack. They make such a nice family with the two kids and the workers (feels kinda wrong to call them servants). I almost thought that Nora was going to ask if Travis would stay in the house and keep going to his new school after his trial is over. I hope that he does so he can have a better, safer life.

Plot? Characters? A treatment of sex that isn't from the perspective of a twelve year old?

My views on the characters:

Nora- Awesome. She seems so confident and successful! I loved how she realized that she loved jack and that she adopted Travis!

Jack- Hot. And perfect. and sweet, awesome, and smart! I loved how protective of Chris he is and how fatherly he is towoards Travis!

Travis- My absolute favorite character. I love how he gets a seconf chance (I knew Nora was going to adopt him!) I think he is absolutley amazing!

chris- Adorable! I love him so much! 3 he is so sweet! i'm glad Nora became his mommy!

Dillon- Can I have him? Please? He sounds freaking awesome! :O

emily- i though she was perfect for Travis!

Alex- he seems like a very good friend!

Amanda- That girl is off her rocker! :O

Okay I loved your story and know I'm going to go read more of them!

BTW I think you should make a story about Chris. like him growing up with this one girl he always sees ( best friends maybe?) and he loves her or something like that!

Cute.

I always saw this story but was like police lovers unrequited love and violence.

Luckily there was more love than violence, and the violence it contained was kept at a minimum. Shootings here and there. Nothing too gory. Decently written, also.

So I started reading this thinking it was a new story. Then half way through, I look up to when it was published, and its like, '09'. ' Just two years late...but you know.

I was really into this story. Reading it in tandem with a few other stories, but finished this one first coz it was ! So much love throughout...and ugh! I wanna find my future rich husband already! :P

Thought it ended a bit too quickly, and needs a bit of editing. But seriously. I enjoyed every moment of it (except the part where Nora momentarily died. I knew that Jenkins lady was crazy).

Am now going to go follow up on all your other stories...probably still two years too late. :P
