I stopped by out of curiosity, and I have to say I'm pretty glad I did. This chapter was definitely engaging and illustrative, and even in a one chapter sampling it was pretty obvious that this is a well-conceived universe, rich in detail and backstory. (If it's not and you're making it up as you go, props.) I'll have to add it to my reading list. Out of curiosity, is this the same universe as... dammit, what was that story called. 189? It seems familiar.

You're doing a great job of using the different POV's to break scenes and keep a good suspense going.
