Hey, thanks for the review, appreciated as always. ^^

A few things to address, I agree completely with the shortness of the Syntian fight, but as you probably saw I took a writing hiatus and I'm having a little trouble keeping my fight scenes unique and interesting, so I decided to cut it short to get the rest of the chapter out for everyone keeping up; hoping to go back and flesh it out later.

Secondly, I've made a few slight changes to some minor events that you might pick up on next chapter, namely with regards to the slaves in the Empyrean encampment. It's a very minor issue, but I've decided that Zephyr didn't free them when he returned to the Academy, to give me a bit more to work with in the upcoming chapter. Very minor, but for all the plothole nuts out there I just thought I'd let you know I'm aware of it, and will be fixing it soon.

Finally, the warrior in armour will be revealed soon. I haven't decided how soon yet, but it could be anywhere within the next few chapters to a bit further on. It'll become a little more clear once I've sorted out where I'm going with the plot(for those of you who've been keeping a very detailed eye on the story you might have a few ideas, especially surrounding another character who's a little more obvious).

at last the next chapter! it is very interesting and puzzling to say the least. and all in a good way though. i found the introduction of magic interesting and why in was coming in now had a good explanation. the creatures of lore return and so does magic, makes sense. and the knight is puzzling me. who is he? I'll just have to wait to find out. now the bad i thought that the fight was to short. thats all.
