This was really nicely executed, and I say that as someone who is not into Radiohead at all!


The "Listen:" was a nice opening, but I think the next few paragraphs ("It was the loveliest day out..." to "...mindless horde suffocating me") could be cut to make it a stronger opening, but the "But I live" has a really nice sound, and it probably wouldn't work without longer lines preceding it... The use of dialogue is very effective here -- all the little references made me smile, especially the "Why don't you remember my name?"/"I guess he does" exchange!


I think this story could be extended beyond the song, though; the nicest bits are the original aspects, particularly the line, "The weathermen summoned the rain." That's glorious, I don't know why, but it's an excellent, effective line.
