Lady Katreina 2009-06-24 . chapter 1AI was the worst movie I've ever seen. It supersedes all others I have watched.
And this android's pondering, it's story, is exactly why. It's so tragic that a self-contained entity, needing no supplies whatsoever, will never have the company it was made with.
In Artificial Intelligence aliens were at the end of the movie. All "John" has is a star or black hole... and his thoughts. |
Faithless Juliet 2009-05-20 . chapter 1Your idea here is very incisive. It begs the question: What is humanity?
It seems frightening to me that in the world - a future world, a world so close that you and I might encounter it in our own lifetimes - we might see machines in the form of humanity. Technology scares me, just a little. I blame it on growing up with those movies where the computers/man made enginering take over the world.
The essence of humanity is that we can, and do care for one and other. As cliched as the notion seems we are capable of deep love. It's hard to teach a system to be be unsystematic.
In regards to your piece (the above sentament is just the feelings that it evoked...) It was very thorough, concise, and well-detailed. I am only left imagining the world of thoughts that your John will conclude on his travels of solitude. Keep up the good work.
Much love,
Juliet. |

"The nose of the ship was rounder than the average modern spaceship"
