i think the ending was to fast. Its like you started talking about you day naming every little detail then suddenly you closed the chapter with and end. I could feel the sorrow though very emotional.

God, this is SO sad :( I kept tearing up all throughout it. And the ending!! My god, I was hoping they'd at least be together. But I do understand that that would most likely never be able to happen. The boy was broken and unhappy. The genie would eventually lose him even if it was from old age, or something entirely. It's just so sad that he had to watch him kill himself...

Anyway, amazing, deep, and sad story in one. You wrote it beautifully.
