This is lovely. I especially like the lines:

and then creep up to our own rooms and sit penning
love-mad poems to each other and
gorging ourselves on lemon cream tarts.

I really like that you said "love-mad" and not mad love, wonderfully original. This is such a vivid, personal, splendid little moment. Great work!

"The librarian with his dusty charges." Beautiful!

I also really liked the 'finite' line--it's funny that we tend to think that the 'happiness' of a moment is long-lasting.

Brilliant. The images are amazing.

I love this. Mostly because every word is an image, which I wish that I could do. Everything fits together like a puzzle... it's lovely.
