Laeden 2009-06-09 . chapter 1You have a lot of dialogue and action-description, which is good.
Although I'd like to make just a few suggestions.
You're writing this in first person, so try to give your character a unique perspective. Whenever making a decision about anything, whether it's a verb in a sentence, the wording of a sentence, a conflict, an ending, or a POV, always ask yourself "why?"
Remember, if you're writing purely in the first person, your character has to be charismatic enough to hold a reader's attention for a long period of time. Switching perspectives in first person is usually bad form.
Go crazy with it, be creative. Does the character hate themselves? Hate people? Hate robots? Hate groups? Afraid of their own reflection?
Adding unique perspectives and quirks to the character will not only add more realism, and make the character more believable, but also it will make the story more entertaining and hold a reader's attention.
You have an interesting direction, I'd like to see where it ends up.
Hope this helps a litle,
