Wow, this is really original. So they're human but also have slightly animalistic traits? And where exactly do they live? I mean, Davey mentioned a life before, so how did he get here? I'm definitely interested in reading more...Especially about Davey-mouse.

I really really really should be doing my english assignment, but your stories are so good *-* I'm slightly (or not so slightly) intruiged... So they're kind of human, but what happened? is it just a land where that happens, or was there a change? I shall keep reading :D

This is totally creative. I don't think I've ever actually seen something like this (which is something I don't get to say that often). But from the first paragraph I was completely drawn in by the strangeness of the characters (and the yumminess of the cinnamon roll... I'm hungry now).

Oh, and actually... speaking of the cinnamon roll, your descriptions are perfect! You give just enough detail that I know what's going on, and I can really see myself in the environment without having to slog through entire pages of boring description.

The whole story has kind of a dream-like quality to it. Maybe because of the really unusual circumstances the characters are kept in? But I really loved getting all the weird details, especially because they were delivered by someone who was used to living, hidden in the house (this is another point in which your description was perfect. I'm always annoyed when a character who should be familiar with something, describes it in painful detail, just because the author wants the reader to know everything about it).

Probably my favorite thing about this was the really creepy undertones throughout the whole thing. I didn't realize it right away, probably because this was all just another day for Davey-mouse, but eventually, the creepiness just kind of dawned on me (probably around the time Davey was thinking it was weird to be differentiated from all the other mice). Because actually? The idea is pretty freaky... Like some sort of perverted hide-and-seek (::shrugs:: I was always really bad at that game...)

I'm really happy to see that you have a sequel up for this, because I'd really love to know more about the characters. ::twitches:: I'd read it right now... but I promised my roommate I'd drive him to work. ::twitches some more::

I wish the length had more to do with actual thoughtfulness, more than it had to do with me sitting down at the keyboard and typing everything that came to mind. I don't much like getting short reviews, so I figure I might as well leave some long ones.
