Brilliant! Ah, your words ring true!

Very nice! This poem shows your point because you can tell there is emotion behind it. I loved these lines,
"smelling the dirt and grass
holding hands in the dark,
footfalls on the pavement,
the way music breathes." Things that are so simple but hold much meaning. I enjoyed this!

That's, like, one of the coolest lines *ever*, just to put that out there. Damn right music is alive. :)
And for the piece as a whole, of course I loved it as well because it's so, so true. It's like in the past decade a new generation of poetry has arisen and while of course there had been plenty of fantastic poetry written before then, this generation is focused so much more on life. But that could just be me.
Anyway. Um.
