"You looked at me with dark eyes." The internal rhyme between 'me' and the 'see' in the previous line was brilliant.

"Like subway tunnels--disappearing into other worlds." I must say, this simile is quite rich and lush. There's such a sense of dark grandeur and grace here--the 'eye imagery' is stunning.
