Hi! it's Martin Baker from FF, Adrian Richard Utt Baker on this site. Sorry I didn't submit a signed review but my computer's being difficult. I like this. I like the concept of vampires not being what all the glorified stories say they are. The chapters are really short, though. I wish you'd started a little before the attacks so we could get to know Maya a lot better. Like, what is she? A college student, or a worker somewhere? Keep writeing, and I look forward to the next installment.

Short, sweet and to the point- I like this story so far and am interested to see where it goes.

Your characterization of Maya and descriptions of her surroundings are very good; detailed, but not too detailed.

The story is very mysterious so far. You plant questions in the readers' heads that are just hanging there, which creates a great mood for the story.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter, and seeing more of Marco!

This is off to an AMAZING start! You have a good balance of showing information and keeping mystery that it's pleasing to the reader, not frustrating. And the shortness of the chapters helps keep an air of suspense and wonder. I can't wait to read more about Maya and Marco! :)
