I'll admit, I had my doubts on your summary, but when I read this short poem, I must agree with the other reviewer. I like it. I think it's good because of its simplicity. The thing about sadness is that people often complicate it and mix it into all this imagery and what not, and sometimes it works while other times it doesn't because it's so... common. But the simplicity you have here is a step away from all that complexity and makes it feel very down to earth (for the lack of a better word phrase). Good job! :)
