I particularly love the contrast of "The tide" and "pools of rain." The ending "offer no refuge / From the coming silence" is also particularly affecting. It's a delicious kind of metaphor: the rain, the tides, a silence that suggests the end of the storm or an even greater ending.

The best part of short poems is that you can spend as much or as little time as you want digging for deeper meaning. You'll almost always find it, though, no matter if you take one minute or twenty.

Beautiful, as always. I hope to see more in the future.

Felicia.

What a pretty image, yet harsh at the same time. Lovely job. Keep writing! :)

It's interesting to think that nothing, even the rain, can escape silence. Good work. :)

It's a strong comparrison between a pool of water, and the object of silence. Keep up the good work.

Much love,
Juliet.
