I can totally feel you there. I think pretty much anybody who's dated has had at least one experience like this. I don't know if I'm over-fond of the word 'strife' in this, because the rest of the song uses more simple words to convey emotion. Strife makes me think of some sort of knights fighting through their troubles and strife to save the princess. A bit archaic as it were, but maybe that's just me and my silly imagination. You've done a nice job altogether, and I hope you eventually find somebody better ;)
