This is a powerful story. Oneshot. Vignette. Letter of ventage. Whatever you want to call it. And it's real, which makes it all the more moving.

I know it's cliche and likely underestimated of me to say this, but I feel like I understand what that moment was like for you, to some degree. While I don't know the full situation, and I can practically guarantee that my situation at the time was different than yours, I sympathize. I know what it's like to sit by the phone, waiting for an important text message for an hour, hoping it will come but knowing that it won't. I know what it's like to have the help of somebody else and for them to be somewhat overbearing and overprotective. I know what it's like for others to claim that they understand, but inside you just know that they don't, because they aren't you and they can't hear your thoughts or feel your emotions.

I've had my fair share of letters, text messages, phone calls, emails, tears and late nights from those moments, though they have passed since then.

Good for you for getting this out there, even if you didn't ever send it to the respective person. I encourage you to continue to add to this with any kind of venting you may have. It worked for me, anyway. :)
