This is very honest, and it seems like the narrator has utterly given up. It seems very hopeless; you conveyed that very well. Overall, the flow of this is very good.

short and sweet and to the point.

I love the picture I got when I read the lines, "Surrounded by darkness
It swallows me," Kind of like a black hole. And the ending was just magnificent! A lot said in such a short poem! Well done

Being short kind of says something about the meaning behind the piece. It's like the narrator gave up so easily, resigned to whatever this fate is. I think it's a common reaction from most of us--if we're told there's nothing to do about it, we readily accept the consequences and outcome.

I wish it were otherwise, though..

I like this piece because it's short and simple. I've just been through all of the poems that you've written and you really have a flair for being able to make them rhyme. ): Mine never rhyme, so I just kinda gave up. And I think my favourite is "Confession Suffering in Silence" but I was afraid you might not see if I reviewed that one so I reviewed this one.
