Ah ha ha, not all witches are ugly. Hm, depends on who's doing it all. The green, lumpy skin chicks yeah, they're not so easy on the eyes. Hee hee. Aww, this character doesn't know the origins of Halloween, thinking it's just something people who want money made up. No, no, no. XD The history of Asians celebrate this kind of stuff is interesting. The boys would dress up as women, some older asians have pierced ears because of this, because demons would bypass women. There was this old korean dude I knew of, he had pierecd ears cause his mom was trying to protect him from evil spirits. And the bridges over the water gardens were all zigzag cause apparently ghosts can only go in a straight line, takes 'em awhile to turn so it protects them from evil spirits. Oh, but this wasn't just for one day, as it's not widely celebrated in Japan, they have their Obon holiday instead, which is in mid-august, which westerners would consider All Soul's Day or Festival of the Dead. Some fun facts for ya. XD

Oh and the Korean manga, “Bride of the Water God” has recently addressed the idea of dressing a young boy up as girl for his protection.

It's all very interesting. I learned all of this myself through someone's author's note to her story. Thought I'd share. XD

This was a FABULOUS story. Amazing, honestly it had me hookled for the whole two days I was reading it.
One think that irked me, though, was that you repeated things a hell of a lot. Keep in mind that your allowed to skip certain details of the characters day so as not to bore your readers =P
Other than that, this was a very original story in my eyes and I loved the way you had a song quote at the beginning of each chapter.

Aw mushy and great! I really admire how your able to incorporate characters that grow up with life's hardships; it makes them seem more real. Anyway thi story was awesome! I'm not one for mushy stories but this I could do (and it's not because of Damien's deliciousness)but because of the characters. Extremely entertaining.
