Gosh, I seriously love this story SO much. The characters are so realistic and...ughh, I can't even begin to describe it. I love Sam, he's my absolute favorite. And he talks now! I was just WAITING for him to talk! And Ethan...I kind of liked him in the beginning, but now I just can't stand him. I'm still a sucker for Corbin, haha. Speaking of which, I really want him and Avery to get together. Then I wouldn't mind if he died, because at least they would be happy. (That sounds horrible...what I mean to say is, I hope he doesn't die but he can die happy and I'll be sad but still fine with it)

Now I'm done blubbering on about how amazing this story is. You are absolutely my favorite FP author.

Hi! I thought that I would be sad about Ethan's wicked ways and him not being with Avery anymore, because in my mind he was real handsome guy with a big toothpaste smile, BUT ever since Avery and Corbin met outside the Coffee shop, and also the part with them in this chapter, I am really liking them as a 'thing'. Not sure about them falling in love and all that (yet)but really liking them together.
The mysterious woman. hmm. Thought she might have been Avery's sister or mother but no. Now I'm thinking Annabelle's birth mother maybe? I don't remember hearing she was adopted, but.. I wonder heh!
The way you described Avery's feelings when Samuel talked to her was heartwarming and made me feel all warm inside. I think it's good for her to experience feelings like that and even allow them because she tries so hard to separate herself from the Whites.
I love your writing and I am always sad when the chapter ends. lol. sounds corny when I actually write that!

That's so sad about Corbin. I hope Avery gets closer to him so they can become friends. I want to know more about him. Great update.

hey just want to say real quick that your story feels so real. it's a great read and whenever you update my heart does a little jump. also that ethan guy, crap what an **! and a pervert. i think i might be the one who wrote that actually heh. that being said, ethan is basically just a hormonal boy who saw an opportunity with an unstable teenager and then had to get the hell out of town or something like that. am i totally wrong for thinking that?
Like i said it's the realness of the way you tell the story that makes the student/teacher thing believable.and i like the jump you did in time when their relationship developed, it felt right that way. i'm curious to see where you'll take the whole 'i'm-gonna-get-corbin-a-heart' storyline. sounds.. as crazy as avery herself! also i'm trying not to hate peter for taking his family for granted.
i'm staying tuned for next chapter!

Oh, I had a feeling this was going to happen--the whole thing with Ethan and Avery, I mean. I can understand Ethan's leaving given the circumstances. I hope they transferred his credits for him. ;D

Also, glad Sara found Samuel. I would've been sad if they hadn't, or if they had found him and he'd frozen to death or something. :( I wonder why he left and hid like that?

Peter continues to make me suspicious. The fact that he was seeing Corbin came as a definite surprise to me, along with Corbin's condition. (As a writer myself it makes complete sense for this sort of detail to show up, because it's obvious to me that Corbin has to play a much larger role than just the friend who cares for birds with broken wings, but I can't say I was expecting this particular development. I like it! Even though I feel bad for Corbin now and am definitely hoping for a happy ending in his case. The crazy thought entered my mind at one point that maybe in the end something dramatic would happen, like Avery would end up giving her own heart or something. I dismissed the idea, but I have no idea what's coming, haha!)

I just sat here for an hour straight, reading this. I have to say, you're such a great writer, you really have a way with words that just pulls the reader in. I want to read more!

Your characters are always so well crafted, so believable, it's amazing. Avery is so wise beyond her years, having to grow up so fast so young.

Ethan's such a jerk.

Sorry I didn't review last chapter; I didn't get a chance to read it before you put this one up because my uncle was in the hospital and that's where I've been for the past week.

Last chapter and this chapter were both lovely. Avery and I think alike in some respects, I think, which is nice. Always good when I can connect with a character in some way.

Funnily enough, I'm starting to wish that Avery would drop Ethan and go for Corbin. Not precisely like that, but it seems like she would be better off with Corbin than Ethan. Michelle makes me nervous for some reason, and Corbin is interesting; I think I've really begun to like him since that chapter with the bird. :)

I actually really like Ethan. He was understanding with Avery about not wanting to take things too far. But I was wondering how they got together. I feel like maybe I missed something. And please tell me Ethan stays good. Or at least doesn't cheat on Avery with Michelle or anyone else. That's the one thing I hate reading about, the cheating. If the relationship comes to a demise, anything but cheating would be awesome. Haha. Just me being an active (and opinionated) reader.

I can't wait for an update. School for me starts tomorrow so I can understand the time constraints.

wow... i like ethan.. but how in the world did avery and ethan started they relationship...
