Great chapter. Loved the insight into Hera. I hope we see some Dionysus. He's another of my favorites. I had never thought of it before, but while reading the first chapter of this fic I realized that Hera and Heph could totally bond over being married to shameless cheaters. Glad to see Hera acknowledge that.

I'm really liking this! I love your Hephaestus and your Kabeiro. I wish there was more Mythology fan fiction of this quality. If you think about it, all mythology (and especially the classic mythological works) is a form of fan fiction. There's no reason why we in the present cannot continue expanding and adding depth to the ancient stories.

Great first chapter! I can't wait to read the rest of it. Hephaestus has always been one of my favorite Greek Gods, and I hated what a bum deal he got. I always wished there was some alternate style of his story where he found some happiness. The closest I've ever heard of is an oblique reference from Virgil that Eros was the child of Aphrodite and Hephaestus.
