Guardrail 2009-07-26 . chapter 1
Very well written. I liked how the Spanish lines are mixed in. I'm not very fluent in Spanish though, so the translation notes at the end were a huge help. The line "Descanses en pedazos" is particularly striking and beautiful. I also loved the lines, "Hold me, Mold me, Do what you must." It's so relatable to me right now.

If there was anything that I dislike about the poem, it is the random boldface letters, italics, and underlined text. It's unnecessary and detracting to your writing that is already good enough without the visual edits.

Overall, well written. I liked this a lot. Great work and keep writing!

Er... Word Choice?: 'throbbingpulsing' I like how you keep these words together becuase it draws out how much it is throbbing and pulsing. Using both words makes it more powerful. I really like that this was done because it makes me think of mystery, yet it is in plain sight what is happening. I also like that you used words in another language because this is rather thought provoking.

Tone: In the beginning I can see the darkness and I read fear from this poem as well. I also think there is an underlying depression from the speaker mentioning the word razors as a descriptor.

Form: I liked the form of the first stanza because it is basic and looks nice to read. Now, to compair the rest it is chopped more so with short lines and few big lines. This to me was more distracting and I didn't like that. The stanzas were nicely separated though.

Enjoyment: Overall, for being a class assignment
this is pretty good because you use vivid description. And the words together in one were an interesting touch for sure. I however thought the words that were separated by periods in the middle or underlines was slightly distracting and not my favorite.
