I like the rhyme at the end. It makes it feel so conclusive and...final. I don't know, I can't really put words to it exactly, but it wraps it up nicely.

[The ground is stained with crimson love] That line really caught my interest. I tried to figure out what you meany by "crimson love," but I'm not too sure if I grasped it. Like the blood that these people share, as in a family? Or maybe in some other way it was love that bound them together as they died. Either way, creative description.

"The sky is red tonight." This line is simple, and yet, the imagery is very vivid and profound. Good opening.
