Generally everything you write is hard to read. In a good way, not like you want to stop reading it. I don't know why you aren't already on my favorite authors list. Mistake on my part.

Anyway. I like how you use a lot of the same imagery. It gives you just the right amount to think about. And everything from the "crash of teeth" onward sounds so painful. You probably could've gotten away with using a lot less parenthesis, but that's just me. Good job.
