Nice piece. I liked the transitions from past to present and back again - the bold/italics/normal font definitely made that transition smoother than line breaks, so good choice. Some grammatical errors to clean up, namely "to" instead of "too" and similar word confusion. Other than that, really great writing. You've got an excellent vocabulary and great description: simplistic because you give only the bare essentials, yet enough to paint a very good impression of the scene. That allows the reader to imagine everything that's implied. Really nice touch.

Not sure if it was supposed to be a shocker that Trent was the best man and not the groom, but I kind of expected it. Not a bad thing, though.

All in all, great stuff.
