Ok last line lost me. Is this a werewolf? Was that just a metaphor? I didn't like it.

I did like the piece. I think you used great word choices. I also liked how you set the reader up to think there was a reason for your running and then just like now. I can't relate 'cause I hate running, but I think you described your feelings about it very well.
