The wine thing confused me. I guess I'm not understanding how wine leaves? Can't you just buy more? Also, the wife seems like an after thought just for the rhyme.

I liked the rest of it. I think the format and the rhyming worked well. I also loved the third stanza. It was great personification and "deep shelf" was a nice image.
