"You grow backwards, my child." I love the fact that this sounds like something one's 'conscience' would say - that's very powerful.

"Never has a baby melted so fast." OH MY GOD! What a fantastic line! Wow! :D

"Stop waxing this roman addiction." This is a very powerful ending. Keep up the awesome work. :)

My only critique would be to take out "here is what" in "here is what it has been telling me," if you agree with me that it makes it stronger, and to take out "you've got to" in the last stanza. "rip" can be interpreted as a command, so those words are excess.

I like how nothing is stated about the subject except in the title. I had to read it twice, the first time treating it like any poem, admiring the language, and then the second time trying to understand. Which is the best - when someone wants to read a poem twice.

Very nice.

I love how "waxing" works on so many levels. Could be polishing, could be removal of hair, and could also be like the moon's waxing phase. Not only does this work on different symbolic levels but also tonal. Very interesting, and well done.
