dcflag 5/10/13 . chapter 1Favourited. I actually can't wait till I have a bit of time to sit down and read one of your longer stories. |
tycllns 9/3/12 . chapter 1YES! That was awesome, great stuff. They don't make horror like this anymore. I absolutely love it. Especially compared to shit like Scream and Saw. |
Linnea 9/27/10 . chapter 1 I liked it :) Your writing style reminds me of Stephen King's. |
Justin Carlton 9/3/09 . chapter 1Nice piece! Excellent writing. A few typos here and there, but as usual your grasp of horror is fresh, surprising, and beautifully disturbing. Great writing. I'm putting it on my C2. |
When Eden Burns 8/24/09 . chapter 1M. Twisted. But a great concept indeed. You remind me a lot of Stephen King, which is definitely a compliment. I have maybe two complaints about this piece: 1) The prose feels a little fluffy at points. Like perhaps it could just use a bit more revision to tighten it up. Take out unnecessary words, make certain sentences clearer. Just to make it easier to read. It's obvious you can write (and damn well, for that matter) - it just needs some tweaking, I feel. 2) At the beginning - as a reader with no mechanical knowledge - you sometimes lost me in the abundance of technical details. Car makes and models, car parts. Good fiction teaches the reader something as well and I definitely feel a little more knowledgeable - but I was also overwhelmed while reading it. It drew me out of the story at times because I was trying so hard to comprehend what you're talking about. But overall, it's a VERY strong horror story. You're definitely one of my favorite authors on FP. Can't wait to see more. ] |
