I thought it was fine but a little stilted at the end, almost as if you were racing to finish it. Why is Jen so wishy-washy? If she needs time to think, she needs time to think. I understand he's leaving, but she either loves him or doesn't, really.

Also, one thing that would make your writing better is if you applied the "show, don't tell" thing here. Maybe Matt is angry with Jen's indecisiveness, but don't tell us his tone is heated, show us his frustration. A little description goes a long way.

Other than that, this was cute, and I'm glad xoxluurve added it to our c2. (:

I love this story! You can really feel the pain of Jen when her and Matt talk about "romantic" feelings for one another. It definitely makes me think of situations in my own life, like my brother and his best friend. Anyway,I truly enjoyed reading this story. Thanks :D

You know the great thing about this story is that it shows that love isn't just about this crazy passionate feeling. It is something that's steady, that grows over time, that takes commitment and a verb, not a noun. That kind of love remains even after the initial "spark" (which lasts an average of two years) goes away.
