Faithless Juliet 2009-09-05 . chapter 1Pretty much from: “when you're in the mood/for love i follow you down/curved stairwells” I was hooked. There’s something secretive and veiled about your work, almost like looking in at something through a window, and seeing something very normal, yet it is anything but.
I loved how you put: ‘and our hands do not lock.’ on it’s own line. I think that that line is the face of the poem. The act of locking fingers/hands is so passionate, and resolute and to not do that you can sense that there is a connection between these two, but it is not deeply rooted like, say, ‘true love’ and personally, I think having it this way makes it sound much more modern. Keep up the good work.
Much love,
Juliet.

tonight we bloom 2009-09-05 . chapter 1One of the better poems I've read in a while. This is so powerful and moving, with great diction, great description, some really beautifully crafted phrases, such as
"books sitting under piles of sunlight, pages curling away... bored of being read." Simply divine.
It explores such wonderful depths and meanings of relationships. This is wonderful work, keep writing! |
Isca 2009-09-01 . chapter 1"I follow you down curved stairwells." I can't really tell you why I love this line, since I think curved stairwells just appeal to my taste, but I think the imagery here is quite beautiful and elegant. :)
"Desolate white silences." That's the most profound and spiritual kind of silence. |
