alwaysfaith 2009-10-13 . chapter 1
Let me tell you something (and read all of this because I assure you I'm not being rude); I live in a city where rednecks are everywhere. I used to tell my family "IMMA REDNECK" because they thought it was cute. When we go to the little grocery store, everyone will be wearing those John Doe shirts or that other type with those dogs.

I am a city girl. I was born and raised here in redneckville, but I love big cities, listen to indie, and the only thing rednecks and me have in common is the love of the same food.
I hate rednecks. They're slobby and gross and weird, and city kids are the best.

However, I love this story. Somehow, even though I can't stand most country music, and even though people who talk like how they talk would bug me, I can't help but love these three. The way it's writing just kind of makes me want to hug them.
I certainly will check out your other work, because I'm already in love with this story.

Oh, and it's not confusing. (:

There were a couple of ways this could go. This way makes all the crap that happened before comedic, and some of the other ways would have made them tragedy or at least serious business. I think I'm glad you went with comedy.

I was certain that Kevin had in mind to "try to make Dale jealous" bu snogging Steve in front of him, which would have been weird with what he said about sex and love (een though I didn't think he meant more than a bit of making out or even just a significant loo or something). That would have lead to disaster. I trusted you to pull it off, but in retrospect I'm glad you didn't go that way.

I believe the ending. It doesn't feel rushed exactly, but it feels like a chapter or two fell on the floor. The chapter where things get worse because either Dale or Andy read the stuff on the computer, maybe. The computer stuff felt like it was going to be a lot more pivotal than it was.

Okay, that's what you asked for. I want to emphasize, however, that these guys are right up there with my favorites of all. The thing I regret most about the ending is that it is the end, and there will be no more Steve and Dale and Andy. (no, I'm not hinting for a sequel -- I'm not a great believer in them).

I liked the ending very much, but i think i was hoping for more insight on why Dale didn't acknowledge his relationship with Steve when Andy found out about them. Though, adding that in the back story might have made the story more cliche than you wanted...
I loved the story though and i would love to read some one-shots revolving around the three couples. *wink*wink*hint*hint*

Fine. I'll NOT beat up Dale but I'm still incredibly disappointed in him. He's being such a jerk face. And I really don't like Kevin. There is something just... wrong with him. No one carries around pictures of two hicks making out if they don't have a secret agenda. I'm suspicious. Also, Poor Angus. He's the only truly uncorrupted, good guy in this story. Poor fella. *hugs Angus*. Anyway keep up the good work. Love the story.

That's it. This is officially my current favorite story, and that's saying something.

I just love that these guys are nobody you ever read about and yet they are definitely people you could actually know somewhere.

I'm all in suspense for when Dale reads the stuff on the computer. Stuff will fly.

I'm so crazy for this story. I'm glad you clarified that Steve's writing was meant to be painful, because I probably would have stopped reading otherwise. Can't wait for more!

I just love this.

It's about class, and I like things about class, when they're from the poinbt of view of the working class people in them.

(but I really have never heard anybody say "weren't" for "wasn't," no matter where they were from. Myabe people really said that when Mark Twain was writing in dialect, but I doubt that anybody does now).
Tinyyellowboxes 2009-10-03 . chapter 5
:( Aw, *hugs steve* I can't believe Andy is that big of a jerkface! I thought he was cool! And Dale is just... well I'm going to beat him up. Poor Steve.
dreamercrys 2009-10-02 . chapter 5
What a fucking prick! I am so mad I can't think of anything else to say... Grr...
eatyourheartout. 2009-10-02 . chapter 5
Aw, Steve. Poor guy :(
And I think I'm gonna hit Dale now. Hmph. What a jerk.
If that's how he's going to act, Steve DEFINITELY deserves better.

I feel kind of bad for Kevin too, though. He hasn't even done anything, and he seems really sweet.

Update soon :)

Oh man. I love this.
Dale is so incredibly hot...haha. And Steve. Gah.
I think my brain just malfunctioned.

And the whole Angus thing. AW. EEK. ADORABLE.
Haha.
He's grown on me. Totally.

Update soon :)

Esquirella 2009-09-23 . chapter 4
I love the dynamics you've set up here in this story. So fluid and you really get us to care about the characters right away.
dreamercrys 2009-09-23 . chapter 4
Woot! Dale grew some balls...nice. :D And poor Angus is in love with Steve... :( Poor guy is all alone... I wonder if Dale really loves Steve or is just lusting after him...
