Faithless Juliet 2009-09-05 . chapter 1You definitely have your own unique voice in this. First off I like how you not only give your subject a name, but also how you decided to name her Avant-Garde. It’s not just a nickname, but an actual given name, which of itself is Avant-Garde. It makes me think that young Avant-Garde will be spending her summers with Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, and Apple Martin in Europe.
But back to your poem, I like how you parallel modernism with Christianity. In terms of where you were going with this Christianity feels old and stuffy, but Avant (If I may call her that) is very in and now, and these are the things that she stands for. I really like how you not only showed this girl, but also her core structure of values. I think this is what people will act like in twenty years. Keep up the good work.
Much love,
Juliet.
