And man this part was cool and freaky at the same time:

"Her breathing pattern matched my own. I held my breath to test it for a few seconds, and in those few seconds she coughed, rubbed her throat. Fear swept through me like an icy current."

I liked this chapter a lot. Pretty intense. Jus wished everyone would stop pushing Danny (first Cora, then Andrew) away like it would fix everything.

Oh man! You have to update soon or I think I'll have a heart attack with all the suspense you just left us with! I need to know what happens!

Wow, it's been forever long since I've reviewed anything on FP, but I'm definitely hooked on this story. You have done something amazing with this story an an entirely philosophical, spiritual level that's absolutely brilliant.

[Cora shook her head again. "I'd rather it be a stranger," she whispered, "Not someone I love."]

I could not for one second imagine feeling every emotion of someone I loved. How painful, awkward, yet at times wonderful. There is inherently something self-preserving in humans not being able to feel and really know another person's pain even if we say we want to know. Perhaps because of human's sinful nature, it's the grace of God that keeps us from really truly experiencing another person's emotions. But wow, can you even imagine Christ taking on the entire sin of the world? To know and experience every horror?

This truly is a wonderful piece of work, ER!

Wow. This really is an amazing story. Except I am getting restless! Ugh! I really do not like Saul, obviously. This is such a dark story, and I love it, but at times it makes me sad. Which I guess is the point... Anyways! Keep it up! You have me addicted to this story!

that must kinda suck

The moment of truth: Danny and Cora have sex! I'm sure I'm not the only reader who was anticipating it. The sex scene was written so tastefully - as usual for your caliber of writing - and very beautifully. I could almost sense the initial frantic, violent passion in Danny, then the sweet, tentative love between him and Cora, and later, the bond between them. I just can't believe that Danny may have possibly shared or even given part of his ability to Cora! What a clever idea.

And poor Adam - rather, poor Allie and Reese. I can't believe Adam would let himself get so wrapped up in drugs as to overdose. Tsk, tsk.

Just a note I want to make on your writing, which I will incessantly praise as I continue to read your work: I was just reading an article about describing characters in a way that allows the reader to envision them without providing a blow-by-blow description. It also mentioned fleshing out characters and making them seem real. You accomplish that so effortlessly. I wonder what the writing process is like for you. Where did you get the idea for Cora and especially for Danny? Danny is so beautiful (inside and out) and seems more like a real man than a woman's perception of a man. Also, each of your characters have distinctly different personalities. That's not easy work.

Okay. End of my ridiculously long review. I'm probably going to reread this chapter. Post again soon! :]

I wonder what Cora will decide on for her tattoo, if she ends up getting it. It's great that she got Adam out of bed for that day, though. I can't help wondering how things would have gone if she hadn't, though--would Adam have overdosed still and just done it sooner, or would it not have happened? Hmm. :)

The girl who wanted the autograph was cute.

That bond that Danny and Cora have now sounds dangerous. I'm really curious about how this is going to affect them both in the future...and I hope that Adam and the rest of them come out of the events at that scary ending okay!

The love scene was sweet. The ending was kinda freaky tho...

Interesting how Cora and Danny now share the same dreams..
