"Chosen for how their elbows bend." Hmm. Very interesting and thought-provoking.

"And they begin to levitate." Cool!

"This is their new religion, the church of surrealism, painting clocks in the dark." This is the best part of the poem--it's so avant-garde. :)

I’m pretty sure that you are discussing the revelation in this, which is always a meaty scene to tackle. I like how you used statistics (one in four) and showed not what people did or didn’t do, but showed their ascendance. The imagery with the levitation, and cherry pits and meat leafs were all fascinating and played very well against each other.

OMG I am so glad you included Dali in this piece - I’ve always thought that he was divine (in his own right) and I’m so glad that you incorporated him in this one. “Painting clocks in the dark” lovely work. Good luck in WCC.

Much love,
Juliet.

Surrealism. Yum. Few can pull it off; you can.
I loved the hailstones simile...the imagery just blew my mind.
Fabulous!
