fleur de l'est 2009-11-20 . chapter 1I like the way this is from the soldier's perspective. Soldiers are usually associated with war and their families with emotions, but this is the other way round and quite refreshing :) |
Isca 2009-09-18 . chapter 1"But he would not survive this War. Could not. Because he could not live without her." Holy God. I love this line--it's wonderfully powerful and moving.
"He wept for love." That's absolutely heart-breaking and beautiful. The male character in this piece is very well-crafted and fascinating.
This piece is very well-done. Your writing is wonderful here. :) |
BetteNoir 2009-09-18 . chapter 1Judging by the form that you followed here, and my complete ignorance of any other song named "The Last Day on Earth", I'm guessing you used the Marilyn Manson song as inspiration?
If so, good job, and interesting interpretation. I can definately see where you are going with it. It's a strong ending.
Keep Writing!

StrangerOfTheNight 2009-09-17 . chapter 1This is really... touching! I love emotional stories, though my name states otherwise. XD |
letyoursoultakeflight 2009-09-15 . chapter 1Its so pretty! I can totally see the song in it... and two certain characters definitely spring to mind when I read it... I feel so bad for the guy! But love the ending nevertheless! |
Lady Livia 2009-09-12 . chapter 1Oh My Gosh!
You didnt even describe him, but I know he was attractive. XD
Must be that warrior thing...
Oh Oh! So So sad!
Ahh... I feel unsettled!

BeltaneFyre 2009-09-12 . chapter 1Oh wow thats so tragic, and so lovely I felt like I was there with him wow keep it up Mirabella |
Punslinger 2009-09-12 . chapter 1Nice. The magic of romantic fantasy depends on drawing the reader out of reality on a slender thread of narration without overstraining it. You did that very well with such lines as: ""...he stilled his tears, stilled them for Duty." and "...feeling his sweet wife's cold caress upon his ruby heart..." And I like the way you ended rhyming "sunlit dreams" with "loving requiems." |
