yesterday fp was denying me
access to everyone's stories.
glad i clicked back to this
one today so i could find out
what i'd missed. i'm not
convinced this is the 'truth'
about college; one truth,
maybe, albeit distorted. one
of the tricks with college is
to not get lost in this kind
of alienating confusion and
distance. hang in there, don't
lose your focus, and shine.

i may be missing words typed backwards or something like that in a new creative style. But, no shit that's how I feel about college every single day. But, that's probably one of the reasons God invented beer.

Oh, i love this. I particularly enjoyed the fresh rhyming scheme. The occasional metaphors contributed to the general feeling of alienation. I especially fancied the way you compared life in college to "a round of drinks, consumed with no stop to rest". It's quite imaginative and I can easily relate. You know, I used to say that post-modernistic poetry tends towards nonsense jiberish and threatens to abolish the remaining bits of aesthetics poetry is made of. But really, Tyth, you bend my views, prejudices and unhealthy conservative crazes every day and this piece shakes my foundations altogether. Kudos.
