sur le fil. what the poem means (at least from my perspective).
the literal meaning is a woman stuck. i was greatly inspired by slaughter-house five, actually--i had in my mind a person (male or female) trapped in her apartment/house after the bombing of her city, and every morning her only comfort is to watch the birds in the morning fly away from the pollution and contamination.
but like flener so pointed out today, once a writer is done writing their piece, they give it up to the public. make of it what you will. that's what the poem is to me. |

mine's supposed to be like a monologue that fades into the song, if that makes sense.
