I have to say, I love your description of Umi, I literally got the chills reading the whole thing. Poor Jing, though, lost Sock too early in their life together.

I hope there are future Last Chance Traveling Show stories. :D

You're an amazing story teller. At first I thought it was another romance, but Umi was such an impossible character to like, I wondered how you could possibly turn it into a romance. You didn't, and the story was better because of it. Thank you. Please continue your original works. Again, amazing.

Scribe, I swear, your writing gets better everytime I read it. I'm still teary even as I write this and had to do some fast talking to my mate heh. He thought something was wrong. But it's okay now.

Umi got what she deserved, and I'm so happy it was Jing-Jing that gave it to her.

Yikes. You sure weren't kidding about the darkness and cruelty -- much as Umi didn't have a happy past, her personality is just too damn unpleasant for anyone to feel pity for her. And poor Sock! That last line really made me tear. I'm guessing Callie's reaction won't be pretty either, so that's another vengeful female in the making?

*wipes away tears*

Oh wow. Is this a new Chancer story? Looks really fascinating so far, and I must say I'm liking all the suspense. As well as looking forward to Callie's and Dimitri's baby!

Except I gotta confess this chapter was a little sick/creepy -- the part about Umi spinning the web around the hunter and then slowly killing him? EW. I swear my stomach positively turned (probably also because I have this phobia of spiders and I can totally imagine how the scene would have looked). =X But I guess you should take that as a compliment to your superb descriptive skills! =D
