"Xanthippe." That's definitely a unique name.

"'Call me digger.'" I really liked Mr. Martin's explanation of his nickname. That automatically gave the piece a very genuine quality.

"But it wouldn't flush down the toilet." LOL. This line is awesome.

"Either way, it's Crucifixtion." WHOA. This part was brilliant. Excellent writing here.

Ahahaha! The ending was perfect. I like the fact that Mr. Martin wasn't a fool. He would seek revenge on someone who tried to spoil his honour.

wow, it's sad and kinda cruel but it's true, sometimes it's better do something instead of nothing, though it's the ending I think it'd be a cool long story.

Xanthippe is an unusual name. I agree that everyone adds and takes away from the Consitution. The Consitution mentions freedom of the press and yet we have the Fcc that determines what can and cannot be said. By the words of the Constitution, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohiting the free exercise thereof, you could say that Digger had his civil rights infringed upon on. Explosive ending.

Surprising ending...I really didn't see that coming...it had quite an impact on my (ahh bad pun, sorry). One minor typo, in the middle you say letter instead of later I think. Otherwise this is well written. One of my friends sent me an email about them taking away religious crosses and such from the military, this seemed to capture that idea/problem/issue well.
