thinking.about.thinking 2009-12-02 . chapter 1Beautiful. It was sorta like this for me when I returned to China for a visit, too. |
letyoursoultakeflight 2009-11-02 . chapter 1Wow! You sure are talented! Love how you ponder identity in the first stanza... so well done! |
the prophet apathetic 2009-10-13 . chapter 4I enjoyed this simply because of how personal it was. There were parts that felt a little akward, like it was trying pretty hard to be poetic, but the whole is very well written, and I enjoy the pieces of very structured poetry here and there to break it up.
I think what hits me the most is that inner look at your experience and the ability to feel some of what you do even though I cannot truly relate to your situation. Very interesting. |
Erlkoenigin 2009-10-12 . chapter 4My friend and foe, my land and home,
of mystery vast and fate unknown,
I’ll smile and wince and gasp and mock,
and I’ll love for you're my own.
That is really great! It could be a real poem!

I love it, especially the ending.
Love this part:
My friend and foe, my land and home,
of mystery vast and fate unknown,
I’ll smile and wince and gasp and mock,
and I’ll love for you're my own. |

Erlkoenigin 2009-10-08 . chapter 1“Home” is a beautiful title. Are you really born in China?
For somebody who has never been to China this is a surprising modern view on the country with millions of people, neon light and modern cars.
Do Chinese priest really say their prayers in Sanskrit? And why does this remind you of Kurt Coban (except his band’s name Nirvana)?
An impressive, very atmospheric poem anyhow. I hope you can post soon more!
Love Franziska
P.S Great, there are hardly any rhymes!
P.P.S. I corrected Emily, thanks for the advice |
