fleur de l'est 2009-11-13 . chapter 1A beautiful image again, you seem obsessed with the sea =) I like the visual images you paint here: 'turquoise', 'sandy' 'unmarked' 'red' etc; the simplicity really makes the imagery more accessible =) |
tonight we bloom 2009-11-11 . chapter 1this is absolutely stunning! |
Darkest Fantasy 2009-11-07 . chapter 1I really like this one as well...It lets you grasp that beauty and darkness of the ocean...and of death. Good job once again. =) |
 K. Chance 2009-10-17 . chapter 1Another very nice poem. Now, I know you really master alliterations: 12 occurence of the 's' sound (13 if we also take into account the second 's' from seashell) in the whole poem; 1/3 of them in only one line, the 2nd one.
Well, this poem would sure make a very good text for a commentary, in an exam xD
Not only you write (very) beautiful things, but the form is also nice too. Though, that's kinda different from what I'm used to write.
Little question: how long did it take you this poem? (and your other poems in general) |
Peachesandcream15 2009-10-16 . chapter 1This is so beautiful, I loved the line, "My wandering soul sinks deep to rest, where a lonely sailor sings," it sent shivers down my spine. |
LostInMe 2009-10-15 . chapter 1Wonderful. I love the way you did the imagery in this piece.
"Falling to a sandy grave" - I like this. It's fresh and original. Most people would say 'watery grave.'
"The whispers of the cresting waves" - Lovely description. It gives it a safe, comfortable feeling.
"My bed among the sea’s lost souls, in the locker of the deep." - Great ending. I love this line.
Excellent poem! |
 East-0f-Eden 2009-10-15 . chapter 1beautifully tragic! great description! |
Little Miss Cullen Cutie 2009-10-15 . chapter 1I like it! Reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean. Nice work! :)

letyoursoultakeflight 2009-10-15 . chapter 1Love it! It makes me want to go sailing! And you write it in such a nice way too-- death is not something horrid or painful in this :) |
Lady Livia 2009-10-15 . chapter 1I'm sensing your maritime obsession.
"An unmarked grave beneath my life"
...Lovely line and tempo. I like. |

Punslinger 2009-10-14 . chapter 1Fine expression and imagery, with the sting of briney spray in our faces. Reminds me of Shakespeare's "Full fathon five thy father lies." and Robert Louis Stevenson's "Home is the sailor, hom from the sea/and the hunter from the hill."
Britania rules the waves, and so do her poets. |
ColdCedric 2009-10-14 . chapter 1Indeed a very tragedy tale. It is a very unique type of form your poem, very nice.
