Wow, very nice imagery! Loved the opening:

"just like my heart/ these words will not keep you dry"

and the ending:

"we live in this popsicle/ melting sweet bliss" best.

I would love to see more concrete imagery in the second stanza, something that really pulls the reader in like these opening and closing images.

Ah, I loved the melancholic tone under all of this. It had that sad and mournful feel to it that made me think of the words as being like wind rustling in the leaves. Also, your word choice was great. They meshed well together and nothing seemed off or out of place. I also liked the imagery, especially in the first line. It put an interesting picture in my head. Nicely done.
