First off, the name "Adorabella" is a little overwhelming and maybe repelling. That's unfortunate, of course, because your writing is very good and I would hate for people to be deterred just from a flashy main character name.

I haven't seen many action stories center around the 50s so I'm eager to see where this is going. Look out for little grammar errors, like writing "his style was simply" instead of "simple."
