 Isca 2009-10-23 . chapter 1I stumbled upon this piece randomly, and I must say, I very much enjoyed reading this.
I liked the subtle internal rhyming in the first stanza with where/departure/labrador.
"Home is a kettle on the stove." I love this metaphor - it's so simple it's profound! I also like the implications of forming a 'home' on such a surface (e.g. you can 'put it on the back burner').
"An entrapment." The last two lines of the poem are particularly brilliant.
