"I have become the bullet in the glass." 'I have become' is such a fabulous opening for a line. I like this metaphor, as well - it's very raw.

The second stanza is my favourite. The word 'cousin' instantly makes this piece feel very informal (not in a bad way; on the contrary, it makes the reader feel 'part of the family,' so-to-speak).

"I'm alright with that." I love the tone of this line. What a powerful ending. :)
