I'm so sorry that you are so sad...Really depressed, it sounds like. I understand that feeling this way you don't want to take part in the celebrating and the gifts and all that. There's no point to it, really, if all you're celebrating is the break from work and school, the gift-giving, and the huge family meal.

Still, I wish you could obtain happiness from Christmas! I've realized only lately that real joy can come from it when you're celebrating the right thing. And it's really all about Christ, about his coming into the world, and the fact that on Christmas day there was suddenly hope for mankind! Hope for all the desperate.

I don't know what is going on in your life right now, but I think you could use that hope! Even if your Christmas isn't full of cheer, I hope that it can at least give you that.
